Istanbul’s Markets including Cooking Class

We start the day at 09:00 with a visit to Spice Bazaar from 1663 with its domed and vaulted shops selling spices and herbs along with a wide variety of commodities, also known as Egyptian Bazaar as it was once endowed with the Cairo imposts. This visit will help most of the ingredients used on Turkish cuisine are to be observed on the shelves. Thereafter, we take the local tram, which will add to the local experience, to get to the venue where private cooking class (10:30-14:30) will be attended. This will include 2-hour hands-on cooking and also 2-hour lunch and all recipes are to be distributed before the class.  After the class we proceed to Karakoy on foot or a tram – depending on the preference of the guests – to take the funicular (a further local experience) to get to Pera to walk towards Taksim Square during which the oldest fish market in the city, authentic street food stalls and backstreet restaurants are to be seen. Return to the hotel unless the guests wish to stay on their own in the newer quarters of the city.

* Cooking class includes 5-course lunch, 2 glasses of wine, water, coffee and tea

 * All transportation is carried out on public transportation (Taxis can be taken when necessary)
